Beschikbaar om te ruilen
Ruildata Duur
October 07, 2019 - September 25, 2021 2 days

We are also interested in exchanges for a weekend. Een weekendje ons bos ruilen voor jullie stad of kust; daar zijn we ook wel voor in.

July 18, 2020 - August 02, 2020 2 weeks

Looking for an exchange of two till three weeks.

House in Velp , Netherlands.

Dear intervacfriends....
We offer a picturesque house in Velp near to the city of Arnhem and within walking distance to the Veluwe forest; a beautiful hilly nature area for hiking, cycling and horseback riding where e-scooters are also for rent.
Our house has one double-bed bedroom (1.60x2.00mtr), two children bedrooms with toys to play with. Both beds are normal one-person size (a baby/kids folding bed is also available). The small attic is a spare bedroom to play or chill with a really nice view. Since we love cooking we have a well equipped kitchen. We have a guitar and a piano for those among you who can play it. At the back of the living room glass doors can be opened to enter our garden/terras/patio. You can relax here in our two person hammock or have your breakfast outside (as we often do in spring and summer).
We can leave one of our laptops (Apple) for you to use. You can use our Wifi internet.
At the front of our house you'll see 'our' 900 years old church 'the old Jan' with it's park and there is a playground just around the corner. Even though we do not have a private sauna; there is have one in the street at just 8 minutes walk (www.saunabeautyvelp.nl/). Not more than 0.5 km away there is a park with a small castle 'Biljoen' and approximately 3 km from here lies the bigger castle 'Roosendaal'.
The railway station is about 8 minutes walk. Amsterdam or Rotterdam are only 1,5 hour by train from Velp station; Utrecht even less then an hour and Nijmegen only 40 minutes without switching trains. Velp has a convenient shopping centre of its own and some fine restaurants to choose from. We have a really fabulous Thai take-a-way: http://www.ruangthong.nl/index.html. If you'd like more choices, you can visit the 'greenest city of the Netherlands' Arnhem only 4 km away. There are a lot of things to do during summer like an outdoor festival in the main park of Arnhem (Sonsbeek) each Sunday; http://www.parkopen.nl/. A really nice theaterfestival is 'Sonsbeek Theater Avenue' in the big parc in Arnhem: http://www.sonsbeektheateravenue.nl/index/1/ (sorry; the website is in Dutch only but you can check out the pictures to get an impression).
At 10 minutes walk you'll find yourselves in the mixed woods and heathland area. From there you can take any length of hiking or cycling trip through the 'Veluwe'. We have detailed hiking maps of the area available for you. On the other side of the river 'IJssel', which you can cross by a bridge or a punt, lies a lake area 'Rhederlaag' were you can swim, sunbathe, kayak, windsurf and have the greatest ice cream of the region!!!
You can find a few photo's of the Hansa towns in our region: Doesburg, Zutphen and Deventer are easy to reach by car or train. For more information about these beautiful historical cities you can check out the website: http://www.hanzesteden.info/en/home/
We're looking forward to an exiting home exchange :D
Greetings, Carl, Roby, Lilja and Vera.
Ps: Due to allergy we cannot take care of your cat or dog (only if they don't live in the house)  Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds or rabbits are no problem.

Over onze familie

We are a family of four: Carl, Roby, Lilja (11 years old) and Vera (4 years).
We love to explore new surroundings with their people, language, culture and nature like being outside to sniff up the fresh air; gaze at beautiful buildings and sculptures; enjoy good food and drinks and try to make ourselves understandable in a foreign country.
