Exchange sought for school breaks, only non-simultaneous jan-aug 2026 due to renovation
We offer a 80 sqm apartment, on a hill with a stunning view of the city. It was completely renovated in 2023 but conserves it’s chic original 60s design. Three bedrooms (beds are 105/120/160 cm wide). One bathroom, a Tv-room and a kitchen/living room in one. 100m to the sandbeach at a small lake, 200m to kayak rental and bathing off cliffs in the larger lake mälaren and to the small center of Gröndal with it’s picturesque café, pizzeria, supermarket. 800m to the subway Liljeholmen (10min/5km to the central station) but bicycle is recommended, the Stockholm islands and bridges with views are best enjoyed from the saddle (or a kayak). The hipster hoods of Södermalm are just across the water.

Neighborhood
About the neighborhood
The text from the Guardian, attached in a photo below, describes this hip area of town, full of restaurants, bars, squares to hang out, concerts, free park theater in summer, and good shopping. Yet very green and - being an island - close to the water. In Stockholm, we swim in the middle of the city, so put your bathrobe on, take an early morning swim and come back to have breakfast on the sunny balcony.
If you are not into hipster life, the subway is 4 minutes away walking, and trains pass every two minutes. Two stops away, you are by the boats that take you to the archipelago for day trips or to Finland and the Baltic countries on 2-night cruises, by three stops you are at the medieval part of town, and by four stops you are at the central station.
Attached also a photo of the Gotland house that can be part in the swap.

We are a family of three, mom and two sons (born 2011&2015). We love travelling, having lived in Africa and visited most continents, we want to explore the house exchange again. We exchanged houses before with Intervac when the kids were small.
I am a bureaucrat since 20 years in international development aid, I love reading, both news and novels, hiking, learning sth new, dancing…. My kids are one of each, one inte football and anything mainstream, and the alternative guy who loves street culture - parkour, skateboarding, street art….
We love having visitors!
