We are available for non-simultaneous and simultaneous exchange in 2024. The apartment is not available for exchange from November through March. We use it for a few weeks during Sept/Oct and sometimes June. |

Mediterranean sea view, Kalkan, Turkey
Our apartment has a beautiful view from the living area. There are two pools onsite. The lower pool is shown in the first photo, upper pool in the second photo. There is a lovely view of the water and surrounding mountains from both our balconies (outside the master bedroom and living room) and also from the shared roof terrace and pool area. The Mediterranean Sea is accessible from our local public access just .2km downhill.
The house is modestly furnished with wicker furniture in the living area. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove and oven, washing machine and dishwasher. The master bedroom sleeps 2 on double mattresses and has its own bathroom (not shown). The second bedroom has a two single beds and an adjacent bathroom in the entry hallway. Dining on the balcony is a daily pleasure (there is also a dining table in the kitchen).
A couple, family of 4-5 or 4 adults would be suitable for the apartment. It is not suitable for small children nor people with limited mobility. For groups of 5, a cot is available to put in the living room.
There are 10 apartments in the complex, 5 in each of 2 buildings. It is a quiet complex and a relaxing environment.
Kalkan is a village on the coast in the middle of ancient Lycia. Nearby historical sites are Patara, Xanthos, Tios, Kekova. The Lycian Trail runs through Kalkan. Charming villages and fertile valleys lie in the mountains behind.
The apartment is a pleasant 20-25 minute walk from the main shops and the pedestrian harbor (there are also groceries and restaurants in the neighborhood). The closest airport is Dalaman, 1.5 hours north by car. Antalya airport is 2.5 hours east by car.

Over onze familie
Barbara was a tax accountant, Bob a teacher. Now we are both retired and enjoying a slower pace of living. We are both active and enjoy the arts, learning, travel.

MXOC1001Loved Kalkan and Turkey. Barbara's home is in a holiday village. The home is a bit away from shops, etc. However, this adds to the charm! The views from the balconies are spectacular. A beautiful beach is near, just down the hill. Communication was great. The neighbors were delightful. Another of my favorite home swaps. They took very good care of our home and are welcome back. We highly recommend exchanging with Barbara. In fact, we'd love to visit again.
