 Dear Intervacers,
Our home is located in the picturesque village of Quin (pop 500+), in the Clare countryside close (10km) to the county capital town of Ennis (pop. 25,000+). Shannon international airport is 20 minutes away and Dublin airport is 2.5hours from Quin.
Our house is a spacious detached dormer (223m2) style property with three bedrooms available. Upstairs there is one twin bedroom, one double bedroom and a bathroom. Downstairs is another large bedroom (double and single beds) en suite, a kitchen / dining room and kitchen courtyard, play room, sitting room, utility room and a loo.  It is fully equipped with modern appliances and free internet access.  It has fenced in front, side and back gardens with apple and pear trees and ample private car parking.
Our house is five minutes walking from the village where there are four pubs (two which serve good meals), an excellent restaurant, a cafe, three shops, a post office and the parish church.  Also in the village are the ruins of the 12thcentury Quin Abbey and close by are Dromoland and Knappoge Castles.
Quin is located less than ten minutes from the M18 Limerick to Galway motorway which connects to the M6 motorway at Limerick. Shannon Airport is less than 20 minutes from our home.

Hurling, a truly uniquely Irish sport, is very popular and important to the people of Clare.  Many an exciting game of hurling can be watched in Cusack Park in Ennis. A spectacle not to be missed.
The Burren Region, which is reached in less than one hour from Quin, is a mystical landscape which is worth coming to Ireland on its own to experience.  The area is an ideal location for half day long hill walks in breathtaking scenery along a network of trails, rock climbing on stunning sea cliffs and inland crags or visiting show caves at Ailwee and Doolin.

Fishing is a popular past time in the region with many local lakes and rivers noted for good stock.  East Clare has a number of well known fishing lakes while the nearby Ardsolas and Fergus Rivers also provide good sport. Fishing in the Corofin area north west of Ennis is superb. Sea angling in the Burren region, especially near Black Head is noted to be excellent.  The Lough Corrib and Mask fisheries to the north of Galway are world famous.

Ennis and County Clare is world famous for traditional Irish Music.  Many of the pubs and hotels have free nightly music sessions throughout the summer.  There are a number of music festivals in Clare including the Fleadh Nua (Ennis), Willy Clancy (Miltown Malbay) and Ennis Trad Festival.
