A nice semi-detached house in southern Iceland, just by the sea and the capital city, Reykjavík.
Our home is a semi-detached house, has 4 rooms, bed for 5-6 people and is 150 square meters. One double bed and three single beds. There is also possibility for a mattress on the floor for the sixth person. It is bright, on ground floor with a big garden in a very quiet town in the suburb, called Álftanes. Very close by is a very nice public swimming pool, play grounds, football pitch and horses in a field. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the beautiful shore and 15-20 min to drive to Reykjavík central. The town Álftanes does not have a grocery store or gas station but all that you can find in the next town (Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær) only 5 minutes drive.

We live in Garðabær in Álftanes wich is in the suburb of the capital city Reykjavík. It is mostly surrounded by sea with a view over the city and the sunset. It is a quiet area with a very nice public swimming pool, play grounds, football and basketball pitches and very nice sea shore. In the summer time there are horses and sheep in the field in Álftanes. The presidents residence is just near by, also in Álftanes. It takes only 15-20 minutes by car to the Reykjavík center and it is convenient to take a day trip around the great golden circle or for other short trips. There is good public transport by bus to Reykjavík.
