Lovely country home in a quiet village
Stanbridge East is in the province of Quebec. Our home is a lovelycombination of old and new. The original portion of the house was built in 1890 and the new part of the house wasbuilt in 2015. The first floor of the house is an open concept dining room/kitchen/living room, with a small bathroom. The second floor is where you will find the principal bedroom with en-suite bathroom (free standing shower and vintage, claw foot bathtub) and a smaller room that Jennifer uses as a sewing room but can easily be converted to a bedroom. There is a fully furnished lower level with 2 bedrooms, laundry room, living room, and a full bathroom.
There are several outdoor decks and porches to enjoy the quiet countryside. There are mature flower gardens and places to sit under hundred year old oaks and maples.

About the neighborhood
The house is located in a historic small town in the Eastern Townships. We are a quick 1-hour drive away from Montreal, 2 hours away from Sherbrooke, 3 hours from Quebec City and Ottawa, and 15 minutes away from the U.S. border. The Eastern Townships features excellent vineyards, micro brasseries, fabulous restaurants, small boutiques, biking routes, fishing or canoeing spots and hiking all within a 45-minute radias. Within walking distance from the house is a restaurant, a convenience store, potteries, tennis court, park, and a museum. The village is very friendly and there is a nice mix of Anglophone and Francophone residents.

Anthony and Jennifer are a couple in their 50s. They travel and enjoy what life has to offer.
Jennifer is an elementary school teacher of 20 years, who loves to sew, cook, and garden. Having grown up in the area, she loves the friendly nature of her community.
Anthony is a caretaker at the local public school (where his wife works!). He enjoys fishing, kayaking, curling and sitting outside in the summer with a nice local beer.
They have been married for 38 years, have three wonderful adult children.
While they enjoy their empty nest, they are looking forward to having grandchildren to play with.
