Charming Flat in the Heart of Barcelona – Quiet and Central

Hi! I’m Mar, I’m 30 years old and I’ve spent my whole life doing home exchanges with my family. Now I’ve decided to open the doors of my own flat and continue the tradition on my own.

The flat is on the first floor of a small building (note: no lift) in a quiet neighbourhood very close to the centre of Barcelona — you can walk to the old town in about 15–20 minutes. It’s a calm, friendly area with local shops, bakeries and cafés just around the corner.

The apartment has:

A bright living room with a comfy sofa and a big TV with a great sound system
A private terrace where I love to have breakfast or enjoy the sun with a book
A kitchen with everything you need for day-to-day cooking
A double bedroom and a smaller room with a sofa bed and a bookshelf
A bathroom with a shower

And last but not least… my black cat! He’s very affectionate and used to having people around — he’ll probably come and say hi.

The space is simple and welcoming, with books, plants, and music. I hope you’ll feel at home here, just like I do.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Barcelona - El Prat - 16,6 km

The flat is located in Fort Pienc, a quiet and residential part of the Eixample district. It’s a well-connected and local area, close to everything but not too touristy. Just a short walk away you’ll find the Parc de l’Estació del Nord, the beautiful Ciutadella Park, and the lively neighbourhood of Poblenou.

There are plenty of small cafés, bakeries, local shops, and libraries around — and it’s easy to get anywhere in the city by metro, tram or on foot. It’s a great base to explore Barcelona while staying in a calm and authentic part of town.

About Our Family

Hi! I'm Mar. I was born and raised in Barcelona — a city I truly love — and I still live here today. I work in communication and marketing, and I studied Law and Political Science. A few years ago, together with some friends, we opened a small independent bookshop in the Poble-sec neighbourhood called La Carbonera. It's one of my favourite places in the world — full of books, conversations, and good people.

Travelling has always been part of my life. I grew up doing home exchanges with my parents, and now that I have my own flat, I've decided to keep the tradition going. I love discovering new places in a calm and local way, not as a tourist but as a temporary neighbour.

My boyfriend, Lluís, is currently living in Germany doing his PhD, so I'm living alone for now — well, not really alone: I live with a very affectionate black cat who loves company and often becomes friends with guests!

I’m looking forward to sharing my home and way of life with other curious, respectful people who love travelling as much as I do.
