Our very light and comfortable 135 m2 maisonnette/appartement is situated on the Java/KNSM-island, just 10 minutes outside the centre of Amsterdam.
Our appartment is situated right in front of a large green field and a playing area.
We live upstairs and sleep downstairs.
We have 3 rooms downstairs of which 2 are sleeping rooms, a wc and a comfortable bathroom.

About the neighborhood
Our neighbourhood is very well known for its modern architecture. It is called the Amsterdam Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied in Dutch). This used to be a harbour and in the '90 it is succesfully reshaped as a living area.The old centre of the city is only 15 minutes by bike.
The Northsea beach is with 25 km very nearby, Zandvoort beach ("Amsterdam Beach") takes only 30 minutes by car and 45 minutes by a direct train.
Amsterdam is very well known for its museums, the Anne Frankhouse, the Rijksmuseum, the van Gogh museum, the Amsterdam Hermitage and the Stedelijk Museum are all on biking distance.
Public transport (tram) is 300 metres from our appartment.
A public swimming pool (Flevopark bad) is 3 km away.

We are a family of 5. Huub, Maud, Swaan, Seger & Fee. Our appartment has been recently (autumn '22) redecorated. Main reason: 22 years of wear and tear of living with our 3 children have left their marks. The result is stunning, we can grow old here at this lovely location in Amsterdam.
Our children are students in Amsterdam and live on their own.
