House in Brugge, Belgium
Our house;
Our house has three floors and a cellar:
in the cellar you find the fuses for electricity, gas and water and our tools.
ground floor: the living, a fully equiped kitchen , a room with a toilet, the washing- and dryingmachine and the dishwasher.
in the middle between the two floors, there is the bathroom with a bath, a shower, a toilet and two wash-bowls.
first floor: the parents bedroom and the atelier.
second floor: two bedrooms, in one a double bed and in the other 2 single beds, a sleeping couch and room for a spare bed, which is available.
The garden and the garage;
Our garden is about 400 m2.
The garage is at the end of the garden. There are 2 bikes available, they are in the garage.
Who are we?
Kees is a retired teacher of mathematics in a Steinerschool, he is 78 years old.
Anna is art-therapist and 74 years old.
We have 3 grownup children, 2 girls, Marieke and Olga (46 and 40 years old) and a boy, Diederik who is 43 years old. They often join us in an exchange in the winter.
Information about the city:
Our house is just outside the old city of Bruges (about 400m) in the suburb called Sint-Kruis.
With a bike you are in 10 minutes in the centre (the Marketplace: at 2,5 km from our house) of Bruges. If you walk it takes 20 – 30 minutes to get in the centre. At 200 m from our house is a busstop, 3 different busses drive to the citycentre.

Nous avons peu échangé avec ces intervacants car ils étaient discrets et peu enclin au dialogue mais plein d'attention comme spécialité préparée à notre attention pour notre arrivée, des gâteaux faits par eux également pour notre petit déjeuner... Les photos de leur maison nous ont semblé bien en deçà de la réalité...leur maison étant très belle et chaleureuse... ce qui nous semble pas ressortir des photos mises en ligne. Quant aux informations écrites fournies, nous ne les lisons par forcément mais préférons nous référer aux photos...
Molto ospitali e cortesi. la casa è ben descritta e logisticamente ottimale per visitare Bruges. Abbiamo avuto modo di incontrarci a Frascati perché noi siamo partiti qualche giorno dopo il loro arrivo e questo è stato molto utile.
We exchanged with a couple who lived just outside the city of Bruges. Their house was just as described and within easy walking distance of the centre. We spoke with our exchange partners before and during the exchange and they were very helpful.
