Exchange dates Duration
March 01, 2024 - May 31, 2024 2 weeks

Anywhere considered from February and into spring for 1+ weeks. Perhaps UK for a few days. End of March is free and end of April work best.

September 01, 2024 - December 14, 2025 4 weeks

Anywhere considered for any length of time. Keen to visit new places but also happy to repeat destinations. Now looking for late 2024 and beyond. Could be as long as 6-8 weeks. We’d love to head to New Zealand if anyone’s interested. Possibly from Jan 25.

House in TUNBRIDGE WELLS Kent, Great Britain

Our house is spacious, in a quiet residential neighbourhood but with shops, pubs and restaurants very close. Country walks  are also on the doorstep.
We have a large garden that is very comfortable for dining outside in the summer.
We are now retired/resting from teaching and have more time to embark on exchanging at any time of the year and will consider short and much longer options.

Our Neighbourhood

We are a 10 minute walk from the centre of Tunbridge Wells which is a town of approx 50,000. It is very self-contained with all the shops that anyone would need, including a variety of supermarkets, and restaurants within walking distance.
Railway links to London are excellent with the station 15 minutes walk from home. Trains run every 15 minutes at peak times into Charing Cross or Canon Street stations.
There are various historical attractions nearby including Chartwell (Winston Churchill); Hever, Scotney, Bodiam and Leeds castles; and Batemans (Rudyard Kipling). Wakehurst Place, Shefield Park and Sissinghurst gardens are close by. The North and South Downs are easily accessible; as is the coast with Eastbourne and Brighton both within an hours drive.
